Vacation pic's

Well, I promised to have pictures from the Pocono's so here they are! This is the villa, (small house,) we stay in each year from the front.
This is from the back.
Well, let's see. To answer the questions that are weighing on your minds, we did a lot of things. First and foremost, we rested and relaxed in the jacuzzi!

While the kids rode...
and rode...

and rode...
and rode...
and rode their bikes some more.
They also played outside because it was in the low to upper 40's all week there without any snow!
Then we went swimming a lot!
Then came the Easter cookie decorating extravaganza!
We all witnessed Lori's artistic side with awe.
Don't they look delicious!
You know it wasn't until we were almost done with the decorating that I noticed Carter licking a decorating knife. I asked him what he was doing and he said he wanted the knife clean before he put it back in the frosting. Yuck! Then it hit me like a ton of cinder blocks...if he wanted the knife clean then chances are he has been doing that all along. When asked he confirmed my worst fears that he had in fact done just that! luckily there were 2 colors that he didn't like to use so needless to say, Lori and I only have been eating those colors he didn't use! Anyone want some cookies?
Then it was back to the pool about 10 more times! (I make it sound like I didn't like it, but I was always right there with them in the pool.)
Well then it was finally time to see the Delaware river which is about a stones throw from our villa. We like to get to see it every year. This year we couldn't get to the beach we usually do because it was under water! So we moved down river about 200 feet.
This picture is awesome! I'm thinking about making it my desktop picture.
Well, as we traipse back from the pool one last time we just though Jonjon's idea of a picture on the rock outside the rec. center was appropriate.
Did we have a good time you ask? Come on, who couldn't have a good time with my awesome family!
Well, to answer your question, I think the smiles have it. Hands down, this was a great trip!

Well, I have enjoyed sharing these pic's but I've gotta do something today. Maybe a drive to the pool? I don't think so. (4 1/2 Hr. trip) Until next time, try to enjoy the daylight!

Blessing!

After many years of wishing, hoping, and praying the day has finally come when the Lord blessed me with a brand spankin new lawn tractor! And this is a picture of my first ride on it which was amazing! Okay, can you tell I'm a little anxious for spring to arrive? by now my wife is rolling her eyes as she reads this, but there's nothing like the relationship of a man and his tractor. Besides it was 55 degrees outside today! Can you believe it! March 3rd and 55! They say it will get to 58 today in our area. That's awesome!

Well here is one of my other blessings. A cute, adorably, pretty, loving little girl. She knows she's cute. Just look at the picture! Here she is faking being asleep to amuse her brothers, and subsequently me. It was cute, she even made the noise!

Okay, now these next 2 pictures Jon Jon asked me to put on the blog simply because he made this little thing up. On our stairway there are hook that we hang Christmas lights on and he took some rubber bands and strung them between the hooks and put something on it.

Then in this picture it was a string with a key chain on it. Fascinating isn't it?

Well, I guess that's all for now. Got work to do ya know.

Hey all! The sickness has finally left! Thank God! In the picture below you can see how many medicine cups it took in one day! Oh and I know it took a week to get back to you guys but the van ended up being an easy fix. It was just the distributor cap and the rotor that distributes the spark to the engine. Changing it was easy, getting to it in a Chevy Astro van was a pain. You have to take off the inner cowling. Basically, that's part of the dash and floor. So basically the distributor is under the radio in my van! Well anyway, I got it changed and the van is running fine. Thank you Jesus, because I just made the last payment on it and that would be really bad to have it inoperable right after the last payment. That would be quite the irony, huh?

Well anyway, while we were all sick we needed to find entertainment other than the countless movies we watched. So I got out some old electronic games. These were the Nintendo gameboys of the past. The only one that actually is from the 80's is the head to head baseball. The other ones are copies of the original ones that came out in the 80's. Take a look at the picture and tell me if you remember these or if I'm really old. What's cool is that I must have stored the head to head baseball well all these years because it still works great!

One day during the sickness, alexys was feeling cold and energetic for a while so she put on Jon Jon's hat and gloves. I'll be darned if she didn't look so cute in them. She's always trying on everbody's clothes, shoes, coats, and whatever else she can find. I think she'll be a fashion guru or at least have a closetful of clothes and shoes like her Aunt April. Maybe she'll be a missionary by giving clothes away to the needy.

Well, I've got a houshold to run so I'll have to write more later. Until next time, Try to enjoy the daylight!

Sticker Party!

Today, Carter finished his main kindergarden book! To celebrate, we had a sticker party. Okay, ans explanation is in order I know. Here it is, in this Kindergarden book, there are stickers for when he's done with his daily work. After the sticker were all gone, we took the sticker back and stuck it on each others faces and took pictures. Then we had one last pose without the stickers. "It was fun!" was Carter's response, and I agree! I'm glad Carter is finally starting to feel better, but since he got sick, Jonathan and Alexys got it. Now I have 3 kids on antibiotics and Lori and I are still getting over our cold/sinus infections. My voice is kinda shot to any high pitch so I'm not going to be able lead worship this Sunday. Or maybe the Lord will heal me by then and then I could lead worship. Let's hope so!
On top of all that, now my van won't start! Lukily, my father in law was gracious enough to use his AAA to tow it to his house, (He's a mechanic), so we can figure out what's wrong with it tomorrow. It's supposed to be cold tomorrow. 20 degrees! Burrr! But, you gotta do what you gotta do right. I'll update you on what happens with that probably Monday.
Well, I 've gotta get some stuff done today so I'd better go for now and let you look at the pictures. Blog ya later!

Pictures from before I blogged

Alexys is all girl as you can see from the pictures. She tries everyones shoes on at one point or another. in this picture they are Carter's shoes.

In this picture she is trying on Lori's sandles while taking a break to cool off in front of the fan.

Sometimes though she does the boy thing and plays with Mitchell's Gameboy.

Toasting marshmallows over the kerosene heater and then....

Putting then into Oreo cookies! What an original idea Jon Jon had!

Sometimes Mitchell is an entertainer to his sister. He loves her a lot! Right when she gets up in the morning her first words are "mommy," but when I say she's at work, she says, "Mitchell." I guess I'm just chopped liver in the morning.

Wedding Day!

This is from left to right, my father (Bill), mother (Cretia), Danielle Owens, and my nephew Shane Owens at his wedding. Aren't they a good lookind couple?

Here's Mitchell and Jon Jon as ushers in my nephews wedding. They were so cute!

Last but not least, Here is the father of the groom (Mike Owens), and the mother of the groom (April owens, who is also my beautiful sister.) Love you April!

Well, as you could see, I don't really have anything to blog about. So rather than have you think I've died, I showed you some pictures that I would have blogged about had I been blogging at the time. Plus we're all sick so no one will come and see us and I was bored. Until next time, try to enjoy the daylight! Remember that April? Tales From The Dark Side? Sunday mornings at 12:30 Am?
