Well, I promised to have pictures from the Pocono's so here they are! This is the villa, (small house,) we stay in each year from the front.
Well, let's see. To answer the questions that are weighing on your minds, we did a lot of things. First and foremost, we rested and relaxed in the jacuzzi!
and rode...
and rode...
and rode their bikes some more.
They also played outside because it was in the low to upper 40's all week there without any snow!
Then we went swimming a lot!
Then came the Easter cookie decorating extravaganza!
We all witnessed Lori's artistic side with awe.
Don't they look delicious!
You know it wasn't until we were almost done with the decorating that I noticed Carter licking a decorating knife. I asked him what he was doing and he said he wanted the knife clean before he put it back in the frosting. Yuck! Then it hit me like a ton of cinder blocks...if he wanted the knife clean then chances are he has been doing that all along. When asked he confirmed my worst fears that he had in fact done just that! luckily there were 2 colors that he didn't like to use so needless to say, Lori and I only have been eating those colors he didn't use! Anyone want some cookies?
Then it was back to the pool about 10 more times! (I make it sound like I didn't like it, but I was always right there with them in the pool.)
Well then it was finally time to see the Delaware river which is about a stones throw from our villa. We like to get to see it every year. This year we couldn't get to the beach we usually do because it was under water! So we moved down river about 200 feet.
This picture is awesome! I'm thinking about making it my desktop picture.
Well, as we traipse back from the pool one last time we just though Jonjon's idea of a picture on the rock outside the rec. center was appropriate.
Did we have a good time you ask? Come on, who couldn't have a good time with my awesome family!
Well, to answer your question, I think the smiles have it. Hands down, this was a great trip!
Well, I have enjoyed sharing these pic's but I've gotta do something today. Maybe a drive to the pool? I don't think so. (4 1/2 Hr. trip) Until next time, try to enjoy the daylight!
